God Sends His Army For Us

"Fear not; for they that are with us are more than they that are with them" (II Kings 6:16)

These are the words of prophet Elisha to his servant.

What were the fears of the servant?

1. The fear that gripped him when he saw the city was surrounded with horses and chariots
2. The fear that he don't have the skills and the strength to meet them in war
3. The fear that he doesn't have an army to fight against the people who came to seize them
4. The fear that the enemy will bind them and take them as captives because they were the reason for their defeats in various battles
5. The fear of survival because the host of army was huge.

Many times when we look around us, we feel that many surround us and they are more fierce. It looks as if we are nothing before them. They charge against us and they are huge. Many times we feel discouraged and lose hope of survival when we see them standing  before us. This was the very condition of the prophet's servant. But when God opened the eyes of him, he could see "behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha" (v. 17).

Even as we are going through such situations fearing that we don't have anyone with us nor we have the skills and the strengths to fight against them, "fear not!" For we do have a big God beside us and He sends His great army to stand and fight for us. So take heart and be courageous, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD. God bless you.

Have a blessed day!
